Hi im trying to make a Network, with low level of security.

I wonder how to share file with people in the same homegroup of me, without sharing public folder or what ever.

But for Neighberhood, i don't want them to acess anything from us, and specialy not the printer (if they cant see it, will be cool, but not my priority)

I just can't find the way to share thing without sharing public folder.

The homegroup is i guess what i want but ... cant find the right way to set it.

Well that is a very nice picture diagram that you made.... did you make that yourself and what program did you use if you did?

well so you just want them to use the homegroup but not see the computers....

tell you what.. as long as you setup up the homegroup the right way, everything will be okay. as long as you dont set shares up to the other computers other than the homegroups. then everything will be okay. they can see the other computers but they won't have access to it.

thats an easy thing hat you want to configure.

umm so do you have wireless as well...

I need to know what computers are using windows 7... what computers are using vista and which ones are using XP (if any)

by giving me all the specs on your network, i can write something up for you to follow

If that router/modem is a wireless one, you can use wireless for your laptops (setup your SSID wth security). I would leave out Homegroup/Workgroup for now and try and get all the machines talking to one another. Btw, W7 homegroup only work between W7s only.
