Thanks for the reply but to be honest I was more interested on how to get the Jumbo Frames option as I want to turn them on but don't have the setting under my L1 nic.

    Thanks

It was not a reply to your post.

Re your post though - it's a driver thing. If the option is not there, then it's not there.

Found this tip on another site and trying it out now. Instead of disabling Task Offload (which reduces your speed), disable Flow Control instead. Good luck!
    Flow Control OFF
    Task Offload ON
    worked for me,

    whereas:
    Flow Control ON
    Task Offload OFF
    did not work.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

The get the nic card working in windows 7 32/64. uninstall the atheros L1 card driver that windows defaulted and install the 32 or 64 bit vista driver on the Asus disk. Right click the setup file in the x86 x64 folder and run compatibility mode with windows XP service pack 3 . and its done works great no issues

Did it solved the problem with this modification:

No of Recieve Bubbers - 2048
No of Transmit Buffers - 1024

I think we are better of installing an PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet card, they are realy cheap now, but the question is what chipset is best and recommended for Windows 7 x64 ?
