Eset blame Eset!!!! Man I hate A/V's !!!!!! Solved!!! woooooohoooooo

What can I say, when your right your right. I only wish that everyone would tell me they have A/V's installed sooner because life would be so much easier then.

They never mention the A/V till the very end, I would make them all uninstall it first thing otherwise because all they do is cause problems... Arrrrrgggg, Lucky that Red had him show the screen shot that showed the Eset firewall, I just about gagged when I saw that! Team effort nice work.

I haven't had too many problems with A/V, but 3rd party firewalls have driven me crazy more times than I can remember.

Not your fault at all, really cuz everyone is running A/V's. It's just that they cause so many problems all the time, after awhile we just wish that nobody used them even though most people have too.

Man the third party firewalls are the worst, I just had a 4 page thread about Homegroup connection problems and the person never once told me he was running an A/V with a firewall the entire time. I finally noticed the pings were not working and asked about a firewall. It was an Outpost firewall causing all the problems of course, not one part of it was a Windows 7 problem.

I had customer with a Trend Micro Enterprise Security Suite installed on a video server we built. The video server process kept spiking to 100% CPU. The Trend Micro stuff looked good, nice low CPU. We kept blaming it on the video server process because everything else looked totally normal.

Turns out the Firewall component of the suite was the cause. The minute I disabled the Trend Micro F/W the CPU dropped to normal. We changed to a different F/W and no more problems. Left the Trend Micro A/V intact. It was clean.

Talk about driving one to drink (which isn't really a bad thing).

Speaking of drink it's about beer Oclock here.

And yes, CPU spikes, memory spikes, I have seen it so many times in this forum,... all caused by either A/V's or firewalls. Drives me mad i'm telling you.
