Random wireless drops

Not sure if others have had this issue, but I have been having my wireless drop on me randomly no matter where I am located from my AP. Haven't really found anything that has been setting it off, seems random. All other machines on wireless are keeping their signal, also I've tried 2 different AP's and 2 different routers. This happens on all of them.

Maybe there is some crazy wireless setting I am somehow missing but.

also, using a Dell 1490 wireless its got a broadcom chip

Thanks for any help.

Hello Suka, welcome to the forums!

Have you installed the driver for you chip?
I would also recommend try a third party adapter to see if the problem persists.

i know this is a fairly old thread but it sems pointless starting a new one when the symptoms are the same.

hi i'm getting exactly the same thing.

tried it with two routers (both netgears though) a WPN824 and a WNR2000.

it will work fine for between 20 seconds and a couple of hours.

i can norally get it to drop the connection, by starting off a big download and making the connection. it will drop to "limited or no connectivity" with the yellow ! in the wireless signal in the taskbar.

from this point i am unable to connect to my access point or if i drop the connection and try to get ti back it just doesn;t connect any more.

this is using a hp tx2000 also with a broadcom wireless adapter.
a "broadcom 4321AG 802.11a/b/g/draft-n WIFI adapter"
according to device manager

Hello, welcome.

If you wireless router is really far away, could cause a problem.
