Network adapter is missing
Hello guys!
I got a little issue with my new ADSL USB modem. It's a D-Link 210.
My specs: Windows 7 Professional x86, nVidia nForce networking adapter (Ethernet) (onboard) and the installed driver from the modem: D-Link DSL-210 USB ADSL LAN Adapter (installed with the CD that came with the ADSL modem).
Well, there is my issue: when I installed the driver for the modem, it didn't created an entry in the "Network Adapters" (Network and Sharing Center>Change Adapter Settings). I can see it listed in the "Device Manager", but it is not there where I need it.
My problem with this, is because I need to create a PPPoE dial-up connection, and when I insert my login info to connect, Windows can't find the USB internet connect (I believe it tries to connect using the nVidia adapter, but it is unplugged)
If I don't need the network adapter to be listed in the "Network and Sharing Center" hwo do I create a dial-up connection that uses the USB intead the Ethernet adapter?
Cheers!
