    Network adapter is missing

    Hello guys!
I got a little issue with my new ADSL USB modem. It's a D-Link 210.
My specs: Windows 7 Professional x86, nVidia nForce networking adapter (Ethernet) (onboard) and the installed driver from the modem: D-Link DSL-210 USB ADSL LAN Adapter (installed with the CD that came with the ADSL modem).

Well, there is my issue: when I installed the driver for the modem, it didn't created an entry in the "Network Adapters" (Network and Sharing Center>Change Adapter Settings). I can see it listed in the "Device Manager", but it is not there where I need it.
My problem with this, is because I need to create a PPPoE dial-up connection, and when I insert my login info to connect, Windows can't find the USB internet connect (I believe it tries to connect using the nVidia adapter, but it is unplugged)

If I don't need the network adapter to be listed in the "Network and Sharing Center" hwo do I create a dial-up connection that uses the USB intead the Ethernet adapter?

    Cheers!

    Hey, thanks for the reply!
I tried it. I didn't work properly mainly because the modem is too old, so it hasn't a proper installer for Vista/Seven. So I figured out that because that, it only adds the entries in the device manager and don't do so to the Network and Sharing Center.
    Any insights?

You are correct. That modem is outdated and most likely will not work properly with Windows 7.
