OK.... On the IPv4 properties page switch everything back to the way it was.

One more thing we can try is turn off your router and leave it off. Go into "Network and sharing center". On the left side of the page click on "manage wireless networks".
Right click any network listed and then delete. Boot down your PC.

Hard reset your router again back to factory defaults. When your router is back up and running boot up the PC and set up a new wireless network.

No success. I also have a Netgear router spare. I tried doing the hard reset on it aswell and I get the exact same message with it.

This very well could be a problem with your ISP. I know it's really frustrating, just try to stay calm. What kind of internet connection do you have? Is it ADSL or a cable connection?

Its an ADSL connection with Homecall/Tiscali. If I cant get this sorted out this weekend then I think im going to move my broadband/phone to Sky. If I did that would this mean that these problems would be solved because id get a new ISP, new modem etc

Hopefully this can be sorted though

Sometimes if you disconnect your internet cable from the source, boot down the modem and wait a few minutes your ISP will assign you a new IP address when you connect everything again. Preferably your computer should be off during this process.

Maybe you can try Tiscali tech support and see if they have any work arounds for your problem.

Sooner or later We'll get this issue resolved.

Ok. Ill give them a call in the morning. What if I changed my ISP. If I did that i would get a new modem/router etc. Would that solve these problems ?

    Hi dude,

The router page clearly shows tht there is no connection and in the security log it says ADSL is down.
Did you disturb the connection/settings before this issue started?
Did you contact your ISP and check with them whether the connection is up and running?
Wat is your network setup? If Modem>Router>PC, remove router and conn directly to modem and check.
I presume, your ISP is down, since you have told, conn another router didnt solve the issue.
So, the settings are correct I presume, if you havnt disturbd it.
Did you try conn thru a LAN cable?

Let us know. Al the very best.
