Okay, all on "ACTIONTEC" Network - both portable PCs can see and access the XP desktop. However, the XP machine can still only see and access "Cobalt" (the 7 64), not "Raven" (the Vista 32).

read my previous post
are you using the same security software on all machines
check all firewall rules and make sure file and print sharing is allowed
I have uninstalled printer from both portable notebooks and restarted both systems. Not sure if I can delete/uninstall all traces of them or their drivers etc. though.
No, the computers do not have the same security software. The portable PCs have Windows Defender, my 7 has McAfee trial internet thing, and XP has Ad-Aware SE Professional (not turned on).
Alright, XP and Vista both allow file and printer sharing. I'm assuming my 7 does, but can't find where to check it in McAfee which has hijacked my firewall...
ok go ahead and try to browse for a network printer
Would that be "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" by any chance? Or would that be the Dell AIO 922 only on my XP? In that case, the former shows up but not the latter. No networked printer.
EDIT: Except for if I enter into the MASTER (XP) from the network, then it comes up with "Printers" folder, "Printer" and "Printer2" and "Dell_922" (the last which IS a printer, no idea where those others came from).
EDIT 2: The "Printer" = Microsoft XPS Document Writer on MASTER" and the "Printer2" = "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer on MASTER". Is that normal?
what is the share name of the printer itself Dell_922
go ahead and try to connect to it
