    Hi and welcome

There are services that specialize in just that. All you need to do is Google sending large files.

BTW that's going to take a lo,ng time to upload unless you have a very fast internet connection.

That is a big file. The only service I know is Vimeo Plus (5GB per week). But it is not cheap. All the free ones usually limit you at 500MB or less. I am not even sure whether YouTube lets you upload 2GBs in one shot. That may be the total space they provide.

PS: Last time I uploaded a 320MB file. That took 2 hours and 25 minutes. Even a fast internet does not help because it is their server that limits the data transfer rate. Bottom line: Burn it to a DVD and mail the DVD - it's a lot easier.

You could always set up a temporary FTP server to share the file directly with your friend. Filezilla is free and should do what you need.

well, i actually thnk i figured it out! thank you for your help. Just curious, i set up my friend as a user to access only a certain folder (where I put the movie). That is the only place they can access, correct? Or do they have access to my whole computer?

i appreciate all of your help
