    Network sharing not working

    Hello guys

I am having a problem. I cant share my folders from my main pc to my laptop and mediacenter, and the other way around

Folders/drives are checked and set to share with everyone (advanced sharing, read only), but none of them shows in the network in explorer

Also Homegroups doesnt work, says theres something wrong with the internet, which cant be right since theyre all connected as they should be

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

Nah we're all just looking at your sig...not time to help sorry...hehe

I assume you have covered all the essentials like Network Discovery, Files and Printer settings.

Have you looked at my tut on sharing...you never know what can come out of it...

So when you typed into your browser \\ipaddress (of the sharing pc), a window comes up blank? Where abouts are the shared folders?

Before i just logged on the network and the PC's were there, i logged onto them and took whatever i wanted. Before i did i made sure that the folders were shared. (on all computers)

Folders are both on Windows 7 partion (local disk) and other partions.

Have you tried and map a share manually? I assume you mean in Network link in your Windows Explorer no machines listed? You know that if the machines are not on the same network/vlan they won't be listed right?

Create a folder share from one machine, and try and connect to it from another.

    Tried that, didnt work

Also tried homegroups, but there seems to be problems with the network, but the troubleshooter has no solutions for it :S
