Missing Shares - Unable to delete

Hello all...first post so take it easy on me. I've been trying to figure this out and it may have already been discussed but I was unable to find it. Here's my deal...

Had a 1TB HDD hooked up and shared across my Homegroup and everything was working fine...until we had a power surge. I lost that HDD for good. I've replaced that 1 with 2 different TB drives. With my new HDD, I've tried to set up a share with the same name but found that the old share names are still in use so it's creating them with a number at the end of it. I've gone in to MMC and tried to delete the reference to the old share but I get an error every time...
    Code:
The system encountered the following error while attempting to delete share NAME:

Error 3: The system can not find the path specified.
Can anybody help me out with this error? I know I could just change the share name to something else but I would like to see if I can get this figured out before I take that route.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

net use D: /delete Where D is your network drive letter or HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explore \MountPoints2 find the share you need removed and delete it.

    Brady,

Thanks for the quick reply...however; that did not work. I can't find the share in reference under the Explorer folder and when I try to delete via net use, I get the error - The network connection could not be found.

Just so you know, the share in question is called TV_Shows and the link to it was E:\TV_Shows. I no longer have an E: drive since the HDD crashed.

    Any other suggestions?

Did you go into "MountPoints2" under the Explorer folder in the registry?
