I didn't thought it would work....And it didn't .

All is ok , That what windows say .

Looks to me like some kind of graphical bug , I don't know.

10x for the try anyway. I'll keep on looking for a solution.

Meanwhile it will bother my eye in the taskbar

According to my understanding and ratifying urs with my ipconfig, I can see some discrepancies. Like,
Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : something.corp
This is not matching up with your DNS IP. Your IP shows a address which ends with .il

There are 3 other LAN connections displayed. If you dont use them, disable them and check.

No , No.

It's ok .

This is my work laptop.

I've changed the original suffix (an internal domain) to something before I've posted it.

All these LANS were there before. Their are from my VMWARE workstation application and others are from VPN clients.

They were there before and everything was ok.

I don't think the problem is with them.

Network indicator disconected - Revisited

Hi All
I have the exact same problem on a brand new Win 7 Ultimate Install.
It is NOT a laptop, and the conection is wired.
All of the above solutions have been tried. Only the reseting sugestion had an inpact .... for app. 45 mins, then the icon reported disconected again.

Needles to say I have NO network problems whatsoever!
Internet, POP3 mail, Filesharing and LAN ( comprising Windows 7 Ultimate, Vista Ultimate, XP Professional, Linux Xubuntu machines in a mix of wired and wireless connections and LAN printing) all works flawlesly. Even the network map displays correctly!!

I think it is weird that the fly over to the icon says I am connected, when the icon says I'm not!! Obviously the icon gets its infomation from another source than the flyover text!!

Has anyone found a solution that works?, OR perhaps a description of HOW the icon works.
If we knew WHAT it checks for, then we could do something aboute it?
