I have faced the same error and got the solution for that. You will face this problem if you closing your remote desktop instead of logging it off. So make sure that you always log it off and dont close it direclty.
By the way the solution is press Ctrl+Alt+End. Now you will be seeing the desktop of the remote desktop :)

I had been watching a YouTube in full screen mode when logged in locally. Got a black screen when logging in remotely. Read this forum, did CTRL+ALT+END and it fixed the problem. Thanks!
Hi , I might be too late into this thread. But the issue is same. I am getting blank screen after successful login into the Remote machine.
Scenario:
Remote Machine :
Virtual Machine running with Windows 7 Enterprise
Local Machine:
Dell OptiPlex 3020 Mini Tower 4 Gen Core i5 8GB RAM
Dual Monitors-Both are Dell S2240L (1920 x 1080)
(1-DP to VGA, 2-direct VGA)
OS - Win 7 Pro 64bit
RDC - 6.1.7 (I believe its RDC 7)
While using single monitor no problem. But while trying to use both monitors for the remote session, after successful login, both screen are black(not blank).
EVEN CTRL+ALT+END is also not working.
Can any one help me in this regard ?
Uninstall kb2830477 update in all programs - installed updates
and the black screen in remote desktop is gone for good !
Remember to hide it in windows update.
