    Welcome to the forums DG!

A few items that will help us help you...
    1. Please complete your system specs
    2. Can you send a screenshot of an IPCONFIG/ALL results?
    3. Are you connected to a router or directly to a telco or ISP provided modem?
Lastly, in the future please dont add to a solved thread (see the checkmark, it means solved) If you add on to a solved thread many people will not read it. You will get better response if you start your own new thread in the future.

One other item... which version of Win7 and where did you acquire it?

Where or how did you get that IP address? It's not a normal IP from most devices...
Your image shows a PC IP of: 120.16.156.170

Do you have the PC set to a static IP or set to acquire an IP from a DHCP?

Im also confused as your screenshot shows that you are connected via ethernet in the Notification area...???

alrite Darryl sorry to confuse you. I am currently using a vodafone mobile broadband to acces the net. with vodafone modem its just a simple plug in to the usb port not requiring an ethernet cable to be pluged in. here is a pic of it. now with the net modem im trying to use is called (unwired internet) when i attempt to install it to the computer it gets all the way to the end of the setup were it try's to connect to its network but then fails and says invalid ip address with the yellow triangle in the bottom of my screen saying public unidentifeid. this is my problem. now im not sure if its the company or my computer. but the modem does work fine with my other computer just not with this one. with your question darryl regarding what type of ip do i have my pc set to im not sure how to answer it because ive never had an error connecting to the internet. it usually is automatic. sory my friend for confusing you if you not sure what to do would you suugest that it better of for my to call the internet provider for technical difficulties. :)

Well a call your your ISP would be faster... yes. Some ISP techs are good, some flat out stink!

But we can keep trying this as well, can you send a screenie of your Network and Sharing Center pls?

Also, you could try opening a command prompt and type the following commands one at a time:

    IPCONFIG/RELEASE <ENTER>

    IPCONFIG/FLUSHDNS <ENTER>

    IPCONFIG/RENEW <ENTER>

Hmmmm according to the Network and Sharing image you are connected... Yet the IP release and renew reported back no connection... honestly first thing I'd try is delete your current network and start over from scratch.
