Acers website implys the Atheros driver will be automatically installed by Win7... as they dont show a driver listed for Win7 and the same page says:
This page shows only drivers that are not contained in Windows 7.

    Darryl Licht,

I have an Atheros adapter on one of my computers which has been updated a couple of times by Microsoft.

I suspect he may not have checked the option to also look for driver updates when Windows Update is run.

I hope that the devmgmt.msc snapshot is informative.

Driver for Acer Crystal Eye 4710Z with Windows 7 OS

I have problem with my webcam. Can somebody help me with the driver for the same? My laptop is working on Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit Operating System. The model of the laptop is Acer - Aspire 4710Z.
The Acer site doesn't support Windows 7 for this particular model.

    Expecting an answer very soon....

From what I could read about this problem, the XP drivers for the Atheros AR5007EG may work better than the Vista drivers. The built in Win 7 drivers aren't working for some reason so you need to use the ones from the site posted below.

Read this TechNet thread about how to use the cz Atheros download site, it's apparently very slow to show the driver download " you have to click and wait a good long time", they also discuss which drivers work best and how to get them.

Get them from here. ATHEROS drivers for Microsoft Windows
