I will do that. I have downloaded all the updates for the laptop. Firewall is disables as well as the antivirus. These are the first things I did. LIke I said I can see my network, as well as all the neoighbors around me networks (all secured) mine is open.
You've asked for newtork details. What would you like to see - some screen shots of the network configuration from the adapter tab?
I would check the router settings as well.
To do that, Find your default Gateway IP address.
and type that address into your Browser, it is usually 192.168.0.1
Check your routers wireless settings..
Do you have other computers connecting to your wireless, if so are they working?

Have you tried windows 7 troubleshooter? Type trouble into seach and click on troubleshooting and then network connection.
