how do i transfer files within my network or view it

Im trying to transfer some files from one pc to another one is on vista and the other is on windows seven and i dont know how to view a map of my network i useually do it in vista by going to the network and sharing center then clicking on the pc that has the files on theam and dragging the files i want to transfer to my desktop.

Start> Computer> Network(on the left)>Then under computers, will be the detected computers on the network. Open the one you want to transfer files to and put it into their shared docs.
