    Remote Desktop connection error

    Hello all

I have a Desktop and a Laptop both running Windows 7 Ultimate with all up to date.

Up until recently I was able to connect to / from the Laptop to / from the desktop but now I am able to connect to the laptop from the desktop but not the other way.

When I now try to connect to my desktop from my laptop I get an error stating that the machine, the laptop does not support 'Network Level Authentication' even though it does and worked previously.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello again

Has nobody come across this issue?

Is there a way to repair 'Remote Desktop' to the way it was at system install, i.e. Registry settings etc.

    Thanks in advance

Have you tried playing with the remote desktop settings in system properties?

    Hello z3r010

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I tried changing the setting to allow connections from any versions of RDP which allows me to connect, however, since Network Level Authentication used to work perfectly I would like to know why it is no longer working and how to fix it.

What can I say, I like things working perfectly

    Thanks in advance

    Hello again

Has nobody got any ideas with this?

Is it possible to do a Registry capture while trying to use the Remote Desktop Connection so I can see which Registry Keys and Values it is looking for?

I know I could do this using Registry Explorer but am unable to figure out how to do it with its replacement, Process Explorer.

    Thanks in advance
