    LPt, I have been going through some older threads that helped me solve my problems. Here are some links to peruse:

    These are the two that solved my particular problem:

    XP Computers in the Windows 7 Network Map

    Network Map in Windows Vista does not display computers that are running Windows XP

    And I think I have already given you this one:

    Networking home computers running different versions of Windows

    Maybe these will help.

    Carl thank you so much for your help and all the links you've given me .. I'm saving these to read and use getting my situation sorted out.I'll refer back to them while working on mine as well.

    LPT, I normally just skip over those posts without response, but, sometimes when you're in an area where the whole theme is "helping", I just can't keep my mouth shut. I should have just skipped over that one, too.
