Win7 won't work with Cox Comm

I've installed several Win7 PCs on a small office network, along with XP PCs. We're on Cox for our ISP. XP machines work fine but Win7 web access is poor. Only 50% of websites open at all. Other 50% are spotty even when they do open. No limited graphics etc. I've tried other browsers and same problem. Used an air card to get around the network and I have no problems. It's got to be something with Cox but they of course tell me no way. Has anyone else had networking problems with Win7 with Cox or another ISP? Thanks!

is this problem machine the only windows 7 box in the "small office network". Are you in a domain environment? Are you using dynamic addressing? Are you using a firewall/router/switch for traffic routing?

Have you disabled Ipv6?

We're not in a domain environment. 3 Win7 machines and 4 XP. We're using static IPs behind a PIX 506 firewall, and Cox as ISP. Would PIX cause a problem with Win7 and not XP?

Did you set the static Ip addresses under the Ipv4 or ipv6 properties?

what does the ipconfig /all say on your windows 7 machines?

can you now put your ipconfig /all for a working xp machine?

public dns looks to be an issue at this point but I'm not sure why your xp machine(s) would handle this setting better than your 7 box.
