My wireless reciever has stopped working, it has always worked fine but now my computer does not detect the wireless reciever. This happened overnight, nothing was changed and i've downloaded the windows7 update several times and still nothing, please any help is appreciated.

    Hello,
If your receiver shows up in Device Manager, you can try installing the driver manually.
Go to Wireless Xbox 360 Controller Receiver For Windows Not Detecting/Working
Look at the solution posted by cyberfoxx.

Thanks for your response, but it wont show up in device manager. I've checked other forums and the advice you gave works for just about everyone, i have no clue why but when i plug the reciever in my computer wont acknowledge it, its almost as if. . . . it doesnt exist. Maybe its broke, i've taken great care of it and never had a problem. I've been troubleshooting for a few days now and dont want to buy a new one, what if it wont work either. Any ideas? Or am i just not seeing whats in front of my face?

    Hi.
Can you not try it in another computer to see if it still works?
