Windows 7 cannot detect any wireless networks

Hey guys,

I did a clean install of Windows 7 on my desktop last night upgrading from Vista. The install went smoothly and all was working until I tried to install my wireless adapter (TrendNET TEW-424UB) and discovered that although the driver installed, it could not detect any wireless networks. My first thought was that the adapter just wasn't compatible with 7 so I went out and bought a DLink DWA-125 only to discover I'm having the same problem. So I googled this problem and discovered that a great number of people are also having trouble with Windows 7. After browsing through the forums I've been unable to find a general fix for all of this, I found something about the WLAN config utility that 7 has, I disabled it and tried uninstalling/installing the adapter drivers with no luck. And then the same thing when re-enabled it again.

*Edit* I forgot to mention, the network works perfectly without a problem. As I type this there are two other computers connected via wireless to it and when the computer had Vista installed it worked without a problem.

So my question is, has this problem been solved yet or am I stuck without an internet connection?
