Windows 7: Issues with torrent downloading

Windows7 Ultimate 64bit

Here we go again...

I've used bittorrent since the dawn of "Bittorrent", the very early beta client. Then I move to Azureus 0.x, then Azureus 1.x up to Azureus 3.x. I skipped Vuze because Azureus alone can bog my computer down real hard back then (it was a Pentium 4, the second gen). Then I move to uTorrent, somewhat lighter but I lost MANY of Azureus's powerful features. Now, that was around year 2000. From that year, up till now, the problem with Bittorrent is still one huge boulder called "GOOD SETTINGS", this includes EVERY BT client out there. And I'm not saying this just because I'm nosey, I support Azureus till a year ago, helping people to get better Bittorrent experience, and all those years, 99.9999999% is caused by "BAD SETTINGS", the rest is caused by belly up routers, Nvidia Network Manager(or whatever it called).

TS's symptoms are obviously caused by "bad settings", nothing more. If one of the "guru" said about driver, I suppose that "guru" needs to "get out" more, the world is large and wide, keep an open mind, my humble "guru". Network drivers aren't as "frail" as display drivers, 99.9999% of them are very "rugged" because there's nothing to complicate things. Most of our el cheapo network interfaces are nothing more than just a HBA, no TCP checksum offload engine, no Encryption assist, no frills... all software based and every HBA does the same thing, so the driver will be more or less the same... CommonTater, it looks like that we are suspecting the same issue :)

As for matt_0978, I suspect you have some software that interfere with your network stack. I once used a software that monitors my network connection, so that it can throttle my BT client's network connection, so that it won't take over my network, I forgot the name, that software was then interfere with my Database server, causing it to fail to start... That kind of software.
