After reboot, i verified services and registry - all are as instructed. Oh, and that sfc/scannow said there was nothing wrong.
Device Manager shows Teredo Tunnelling Pseudo-Interface - for some reason it is "hidden" when it wasn't before (yes, i did check before :) ) It doesn't say it's disabled or have a "!" on it - i guess it's working? Can i make it un-hidden, or is it an issue if i leave it where it is?
Here's a site i've been told works if your ipv6 works: http://www.ipv6.sixxs.net/
It doesn't work for me Or maybe it's just bollocks.
ipconfig/all shows ipv6 stuff that wasn't there before the steps i was asked to do. I was going to paste the output in here - but i'm concerned about security (ip, pc name, mac etc). What do you need to see if it's working properly.
Thanks for everyone's help so far. It's really appreciated.
Does your ISP, Router, etc. support IP6? If not you will not be able to view that web site. (if it supports IP6 Only). Some sites like Google support both.
That site doesn't work for me either LOL and my IPv6 is working fine. If the IPv6 teredo tunnel stuff shows up when you do an ipconfig then it's working, just like that. Which means the changes you made fixed the problem. A better test would be to see if you can create a Homegroup which won't work unless Ipv6 is enabled. Good luck with it and I'm pretty sure your problem is fixed at this point. :)
I don't have any Windows 7 PCs to share with, but it did give me a password and asked what i wanted to share.
Heh, i've got a real test - if i install ZoneAlarm Free and try to use a torrenting program it will freeze my PC (if IPv6 is working)
Thanks for your assistance.
