cannot join homegroup

    cannot join homegroup


    Im running windows 7 pro on my desktop and windows 7 home prem on my laptop and using a linksys wrt 120n wireless router. my network is set to home and the advanced settings are correct. I can not join home group on either computers. its not even coming up to the join home group it just says create home group. Then i run the home group troubleshooter and itsays the problem is network related ok so i run the network troubleshooter and it finds nothing wrong with the network. please help

    Hi and welcome to the forum. I had a similar frustration in setting up my home group. Here are a couple of tutorials; see if they help you sort it out. Post back and let us know one way or the other. If you are still having a problem, we can go from there.

    First you should try going down this Homegroup check list and make sure everything is set correctly. The registry settings and the clock synchronizing are very imporant to have correct. If that doesn't work there are a few more things we can try. :)
