pass thru router ?

I have the router (wrt 310n) set up for a internal address of 42.242.120.195 to 42.242.120 .254 - can I add a address of 192.168.1.103 also ? or when a computer on the 42.xxx.xxx.xxx network is connected and types in 192.168.1.103 I can forward to that address ?

That's a different subnet and you would need something else to handle the routing between that router and the device that you want to get the 192.x.x.x address.

Can I from the modem connect to a router that I set up the address from lets say 192.168.1.2 to 192,168.1.254 then connect that router to another router with a range of 42.242.120.195 to 42.242.120 .254 , or will the dhcp 's of the routers fight ? Ideas , thanks people ( I have a issue that I need to fix )

I am not sure. We aren't exactly looking at your router settings here.

Most home users will use: 255.255.255.0 that is what mines is on.

just double check your subnet on the routers...

the router 42.242.120.195 to 42.242.120.254 has a subnet of 255.255.255.192 right now - so if I set the subnet on the 192.168.1.2 to 192,168.1.254 to 255.255.255.192 all should be good ?
