Wireless Network Connection IP config problem

i'm having a problem with my wireless internet. whenever I try to connect to my home router it displays the 'identifying' message for a time then says i'm connected to an unidentified network with no internet access. I run troubleshooting and it displays the message "Wireless Network Connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration". My wired connection works fine. what do i do?

I have an Atheros AR9285 wireless network adapter
    64bit win7 home premium

    thanks for any help

According to WCC it is not supported on Windows 7, I would suggest getting a new WAN card.

    same card

    hi
i have the same card and i am running windows 7 64 bit (see my specs) mine works fine sometimes windows resets it due to interference i use a tp link n usb card as a alternitive due to the faster speed i get from the bt home hub 2 which i would sugest you get a hold of and try what hub do you use? sometimes reseting it and boot your pc at the sametime can help also try to clear your dns cache out . windows key + r then type cmd then type ipconfig/flushdns in the cmd box and press enter. hope this helps:)

Roll back or install driver version 7.7.0.348

Go to device manager => network adapter => Atheros => Advanced Tab
and change the "Power Save Mode" option to OFF.
