Hoping to find a modded firmware for my router...

    I have a:
    Wireless-N Broadband RouterWRT160Nv2
    with the firmware:
    Firmware Version: v2.0.03

Is there anything better out there to drive this router?

Not from the #1 name in alternative firmware; DD WRT!

Their website says this regarding support for that router:
"Currently we cannot support this router due to the lack of driver support for the ethernet switch used in the router. We are currently in contact with Linksys and check if we can solve this issue but it's completely uncertain if and when. "
There are others out there such as OpenWRT, Tomatoe, and SveaSoft... but you will probably have the same issue with them that dd wrt describes above.

The only problem I have with this router is that when I reboot the router. The router goes dead until I do a hard reset on it. I finally got smart and did a save settings on the router but still. I shouldn't have to do that. Especially coming from a Cisco router.

What do you think the best router is out there on your opinion?

I'm not sure if this relates to your problem but the version 8 firmware is supposed to work better.
