Please help,weird network problem
Hello,i was hoping you guys could help me. I am at a loss as to what causes this problem, and i have tried everything i know and nothing helps.
Problem is, i have 2 windows 7 PC´s connected via a router with cables on a home network, and everything seems to work except when adding new shared drives. If i want to add a new network shared drives/folders on 1 pc,i do as always i share the drive and give full access to everyone, now the weird thing happens, every new share be it drives on already connected pc´s or new pc´s with same settings i cannot access on the network. It keeps saying "cannot access network share \\pc name\folder" You do not have access permission contact admin to get access (everything is translated from danish version). and the "old" shares can still be accessed as usual.
Then,if i add another pc which has identical hardware and settings like my own 2, the new one can access all the old shared drives fine, but neither of my 2 old pc´s can access any shared drives on new pc (i get the no access permission error)
Does anyone know why all new shares on network behaves like this? And trust me,i have done everything. All settings are same on all pc´s, 2 have identical hardware, i have tried making homegroups, removed network cards, made new networks, changed pc names, network names and so on,problem persists, and i am getting increasingly annoyed.
Network map shows all shares correctly on network. Network discovery is on on all pc´s, password protected sharing is turned off on all pc´s
on my network 1 pc is win 7 32bit and 1 is win 7 64bit, new added pc is win 7 64bit.
Any help would be extremely welcome
