ICS help!
Hi! So, I'm currently using my landlord's wifi, it's protected with WEP, and he gave me the password and I'm successfully connected the to internet on my laptop.
The problem is, I want to connect to the internet using my desktop which doesn't have a wireless card, so I attempted to use ICS.
So, I'm trying to share the protected wireless connection that my laptop is connected to, with my desktop, using an Ethernet wire.
Both computers are running Windows 7 Ult.
So what I did so far is, I right clicked my wireless internet connection on my laptop, and selected properties. Clicked the sharing tab and ticked "Allow other users to connect..." and set "home networking connection" to LAN. Both computers are set to obtain IP addresses automatically. I connected them using a cross over wire, everything works, except the desktop has no internet access... I can see my laptop and stuff on the network, but there's no internet access. I've restarted both computers several times, and re-did the whole process, and no luck. Is there anything I did wrong? Anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks in advance!

Set your desktop's IPv4 IP address to this:
192.168.0.2
Subnet: 255.255.255.0
Gateway: 192.168.0.1
DNS servers:
you can pull those off of your laptop that is reciving the signal bye going to RUN command
type cmd
then in the command prompt
type: ipconfig /all
and the NIC card recieving the internet will show the DNS servers
or you can try thsese
Google's Public DNS

Thanks for the reply.
I tried it, and it didn't work.
I kept fiddling with the settings, and still no success, lol.
BTW, when I used the ipconfig /all command on my laptop there was only 1 DNS server, and my default gateway, and DHCP server were all listed as 192.168.1.254.
Oh, and the preferred IP address 192.168.1.65
Not sure if any of this information is important. =X
