Wireless Connectivity Turned off upon Restart

A few months ago, I came to this forum for some troubleshooting related to BSOD's. As it turned out, they were caused by my wireless network drivers, so I updated them and the problem stopped.

However, since then, a new problem has occurred. Whenever my computer restarts, Windows seems to disable my wireless connectivity (That is it can't detect other wireless networks in range). Even after going through the troubleshooter to turn it back on, the problem still persists if I turn my computer off, and it's really annoying to have to do this every time this happens. I am assuming it has something to do with the drivers as that is when the problem started, but I can't seem to figure out how to make Windows save these settings.

My current system is a Thinkpad T400 with Windows 7 Professional x64, and my Wireless Card is an Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN, with driver version 13.1.1.1. Any help would be appreciated.

A long shot perhaps: can u take a look at the device properties and make sure that 'Allow the comp to turn off this device' in Power management is unticked.

Already checked that, it is indeed unticked.

Can u - just temporarily I mean - disable any wep security, reboot and see what happens?

That doesn't seem to be the issue... I investigated this further and found out that "Wireless Radio" is turned off. However, I am unsure of how to keep this feature constantly turned on.

Go to Msconfig~Startup~Look and see if there is a wireless connection tool from Lenovo that needs to be started up in order to turn on the wireless.

I know that with my Toughbook there is a program called Panasonic Wireless Utility Switch. If I don't have started up and running my WLAN, WWAN, BLUETOOTH and such won't work. They do it more for security and safety than anything else. Alot of Toughbooks are used in the survelence, mining, explosives industry.

Yep, it looks like I needed to go to Lenovo's access connection's software. I found out that there was an option that said "Turn off wirless radio when idle for 5 minutes" or something along those lines, and my problem was solved after unchecking it. Thanks for the help!
