How to set max RDP session to start at one time

Migrated to Win 7 from XP Pro.
I have client VM's that I need to monitor from time to time. In a crisis I might have to open 100 RDP sessions at one time. I could do this in XP with a paging problem. This is one of the reasons I built this monster. I now have 6 monitors and 12 Gig of ram.

Alas I can only open 15 RDP sessions at a time without having Win7 attempt to scan for viruses.

Also is there a way to globally set ( or preserve ) the Registry data for RDP network connections. I have never been able to find a way to migrate a section of the registry from one machine to another. I have to enter in the user name and password for each of these users again. 200 plus.

You should be able to disable the Win 7 virus scan by disabling Windows defendor real time protection. I'm not sure why it's doing that.

Turn Windows Defender on or off

You can use the Group Policy Editor to make global changes to your network. I'm not sure if you can perform global changes to the registry or not. You may have to do some reading in the second link to figure out how to change the registry using the GPE. The paragraph below was copied from the second link.

I remember I needed to get a hack in XP to be able to support large numbers of RDP sessions with VNCscan. I wonder if in all wisdom MS decided to limit the RDP's to 15 so that the limitation would not be hit. This would be a real bummer if it is a hard number.

I will try the transfer program later tonight and see how well my favorite collectibles that I have found make a transfer to the new system. Neat Utility if it works. I will take snap shots of what Windows is doing.

I don't really want to mess with global settings with out a good understanding. Will let you know what I find.

BUT STILL LOOKING for a solution to selecting 16 item forces Virus scan option.

You can use tsscan software for remote scan and tsprint for Tsprint. No configuration needed. It's a universal system for printer driver. Use very easy , compare to other tool. No more transferring of PDF documents and other workarounds just to get your documents on your remote workstation and work with them.
