    is it possible???


    is it possible to change my ip address on my laptop's ip address so it can be seen on networks? is there a software to do this or a way to change it?

    well...

    thats easy

    you just need to go to the computer where you want to check the computer's IP
    and change the view of the windows to "Detail" if you still don't see it.

    hit "alt" on your keyboard, then click "View" then choose "Choose Detail" then click on IP address

    but it will only show up in the network window.

    Just go to the control panel>network and internet>Network connections then click on IPv4 then choose properties.

    To be seen on a particular network you will need to find out the default gateway of the network you want to join and input that where it says default gateway, usually looks like 192.168.X.X, last two will be different depending on the routers default IP.

    It's usually best to use the auto assigned IP and DNS settings.
