Can't Write to Shared Folder

    Does your windows HOME settings look like this??? in your windows 7 computer

    Edit: forget this post... sorry i didn't see where it said... it worked

    well yeah becuase you can only use the homegroup if you have "ALL" windows 7 computers.. if you have mix computers... then you have no choice but to use workgroup.

    Ah, ok, so that window is only for sharing on the homegroup, whereas the "Advanced Sharing" is for the workgroup?... Sure wish they'd explain that somewhere.

    It is microsoft... they want you to call in tech support... and give them those 16 digit numbers with the expiration date....

    Thank You Acurasd!! I could see the Win7 folder from Xp. I could open the folder from XP. I just couldn't move files from the XP drive to the Win7 one. I had read and read about the security settings tab. Had set everyone to Full Access. I had NOT looked at the SHARING tab. Your picture was the inspiration I needed. THANKS!
