Windows 7 - Static IP (IPv4)
Hello everyone.
I am trying to establish a static IP address on Windows 7 x64.
When I have dynamic, my connection is fine.
When I try to set up static IP on an unused address, it connects and then I can load certain web pages, while others get server not found, and some have limited functionality.
I have no idea what may be causing this issue.
here are my settings:
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.102(Preferred)
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
I use 192.168.1.105 when trying to establish the static IP.
The router I am behind is a
Firmware Version: v1.01.1
Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54G
Also, when I attempt to ping 192.168.1.105 it does successfully ping.
Does this have something to do with IPv6 not being static?
