    Windows 7 - Static IP (IPv4)

    Hello everyone.
I am trying to establish a static IP address on Windows 7 x64.
When I have dynamic, my connection is fine.
When I try to set up static IP on an unused address, it connects and then I can load certain web pages, while others get server not found, and some have limited functionality.
I have no idea what may be causing this issue.
    here are my settings:
    IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.102(Preferred)
    Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1
    DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1

I use 192.168.1.105 when trying to establish the static IP.

The router I am behind is a
    Firmware Version: v1.01.1
    Wireless-G Broadband Router WRT54G

Also, when I attempt to ping 192.168.1.105 it does successfully ping.
Does this have something to do with IPv6 not being static?

Why do you need to use static IP, and especially in IPv4?

Open a command window by typing cmd in search

type ipconfig /all and make a screenshot of the output and upload it to us.

Let us know if you need help

go to your router's setup page and use the actual DNS servers from your ISP or try google's DNS servers...

If you assign a static IP address, you must also assign IPV4 Default Gateway and IPv4 DNS Server to have Internet access. You need to put that info into the window below then go to command prompt and type in ipconfig /all.
