    no wireless in win7

i have an hp laptop dv2315nr with a built in wireless card and a switch on the front for the wireless. it used to be blue but then went to orange and now i cant even find the card listed under device manager? i was using win vista 32 bit and had this problem, i read somewhere to start windows in safe mode with networking and this acutually solved the prob when i rebooted it was working fine, i then upgraded to win7 and now im back where i started with the wireless not showing up at all and the light is orange again. i have spent a lot of time on this. i updated the bios and tried to install the drivers but it seems as though windows doesnt even see that i have a card installed or powered up. i have tried removing the card and reinserting it but nothing seems to help at a loss. please help

i have read that the actual switch can be faulty, and also if u have had problems with overheating, i have seen references to the wifi stopping as a result of heat damage. But you say that u got it working in safe mode, so that seems to confuse matters.

my fist thought was the switch so i replced that first. i have instaalled the newest drivers from braodcom but no luck. it seems to me as if the board is not powering up the card but i do have a light on the front.just orange not blue. i think 2morrow im going to load my win vista back upp and see if i can get that to work
