    Strange network problem.

    Hello

I'm having trouble transfering files from a windows vista computer to a windows 7 computer.

I can see both computers on my network, but i can only access the files on my windows 7 machine.

When i ping the windows 7 machine, it gives me 0% packet loss, but when i try to do the same to the windows vista computer it gives 100% of packet loss.
    I've turned off both firewalls.

Despite all of that, i can play lan games. I can be a host to a game in both machines and "see" the game from both computers.

Does this makes any sense? cannot ping a machine, and being able to play in lan?

I've sent an image with the windows vista network sharing center( It is in portuguese...sorry ).

Tell me what more do you need to see and i will sent an image.

You are probably using "homegroup" which can have (on some systems) connectivity issues, and sharing issues.

You can verify this by creating a new network connection using "workgroup". If it works you can then disable IPv6 and kill homegroup
