Will Apple USB Ethernet Adapter Work on a Non Mac?

I have a Acer Aspire 5920G with a spoilt ethernet port. I find wireless too unstable ... so I want to use ethernet. I cant find a USB Ethernet Adapter in most hardwarestores in my country but I found Apple USB Ethernet Adapter but will it work on a Non Mac?

Looks are looks. I am unsure of what country but usually PC USB is cheaper.

    Go with what you want.

I think u may have misunderstood me abit, I mentioned this (apple USB) cos it appears most shops dont sell USB Ethernet/Wired Apapters (only wireless). Probably cos no1 wants it.

    I wanted it becos

    - Its a laptop, so I cant have a PCI card
    - Wireless is slow/intermittent in my opinion
