ok,try clicking on the wifi connection on the taskbar. Pull up the desired network and right click on it and go to properties. On the connection tab check "connect automatically when in range"

make sure your driver is up to date.
due your information, i tried to search and find application runs on startup and minimizes to the taskbar. Even though Win7 refuses, the app now automatically starts the Wifi connection on startup and upon waking.

I am in the same boat; Wireless was working fine, then I changed a Remote setting (that I can't recall), now I am experiencing the same as the OP!

I use WPA2/AES w/strict password. Have enabled SSID (normally hidden).

--I can see my WAP, but it makes me type the password manually each time. Tabs are missing for the connection that were there previously.

--The Add Manually option DOES NOT WORK! Will not even work for WEP/Open at Starbucks (just tried). Can connect at SBs, but can't add as a Preferred Network.

--After doing Add, I get the message ACCESS DENIED. This happened at Starbucks w/WEP just like at home. Can't see any Preferred Networks.

--ZERO CONFIG IS JUST GONE! Have tried everything I can find on this forum, nothing works.

--Any way I can reinstall all default Services that should be running?
--A list anywhere I can look at to compare what else is missing to make WZC disappear?

***Another note, this is a Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini-Card, and an MS Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter. I have unistalled the Dell adapter, but it then removes the MS one with it.

Forgot to mention, this is a 64-bit new machine; also have a new 32-bit netbook that works perfectly for wireless.

I cannot believe I unintentionally screwed this up!
