Print Sharing XP to Win 7

I have 2 PCs one running XP HOME and other the new Win 7 they both are networked using the same router they both have HP printers connected I can see and use the printers on both machines from the Win 7 PC as well as any shared files . However I cannot share files or use printer(on the Win 7 PC) from the XP Home PC. They are both configured with the same workgroup name.Seems other posts are haveing the oposite issue.

on Windows 7, did you turn off password protected sharing? This is found in network and sharing center | advanced sharing settings. Once this setting is turned off, the Windows 7 machine will work like XP for sharing.
