Windows 7: Windows 7 won't connect to domain

03 Jun 2010   #11

Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit

I'm not 100% either but he is on the new domain/LAN and can surf the net??, so based on that it shouldn't be a router/firewall issue. It's a work environment also and i'll be surprised if they need to change the router/firewall setting just by renaming a domain in AD.

With AD, replication is vital, maybe the DNS service needs a restart...etc.

Worth a try with the DNS though, anything goes.

Restart the machine, and make sure you are on the network of D2. Join the new domain using the wizard (ie click the Network ID icon)

when you change the domain name with "domain2"
make sure that's the DNS on the windows server 2003 already configuration. because before Windows server 2003 is read the first domain ( domain1), that's why you can't to login.

Edit : Joining domain
you can try this..i think that's same issue..

Cheers ~
I have already confirmed what you have advised. Thanks for the tip though.
that's solved your problem??
