    homegroupuser$ at login

    Hey people,
First time poster here, hope I can get some help. Here is my problem….
I have a Dell Laptop running Win 7 Home Premium, when I set a user account on my next boot up I get a logon screen the says Homegroupuser$ and a password request.
I am using a workgroup as my network share and not the homegroup, because I have a Belkin Router that does not allow Ipv6. My network is fine and the only problem is that I get this annoying logon.
I switch user and then I am able to sign on my account that I set up.
Now Home Premium does not have User/Groups in computer management, I have checked start up and services with msconfig and could not find anything there to remove it.
    Does anyone have a resolution?

Sounds like you need to get rid of that Homegroup user account. Follow the link below which shows you how. :)
