    how to change the security mode for wireless connection


    can some tell me how to do this , swicth to mac address filtering you need to change the security mode under wireless security in the wireless secton from security mode : wep in the drop down box to disable then save setting ... this is what im trying to do but i cant figure how to get there to make the changes, my job site uses the mac address to log on and my home uses password to get the wireless connection... please help

    Just go to the control panel, choose >use large icons, then choose the "Network and Security Center icon, usually it's off to the left side. You can also go lower right for this, right click the network icon and choose "Open Network and Security Center".

    Once there look to the left navigation pane and choose "Manage wireless networks" once open you just click on which ever connection you need to manage and set the security for each one seperately. :)
