Sharing a connection with an old MS-DOS 6.22 machine
I have a Compaq Portable II running MS-DOS 6.22 (from a 20, count'em, 20 megabyte hard drive). For retrocomputing purposes, I'd like to run DosLynx, ssh/telnet and a (yet to be defined) IRC client on it.
I can't connect it straight to my router (too far away, impractical to run a cable), so I want to connect it to my main computer, running Windows 7 x64 and with a wifi link to the router.
I configured connection sharing in win7, then found a DOS packet driver for the ethernet card in the Portable II (an AMD PCNET one). Said driver apparently works (I run it with INT=0x60 and it autodetects the other settings), but then I've no idea what to do. Doslynx reports a DHCP error every time I try connecting to a website.
Little help?
