This device can't access your media when your computer sleeps?

I would like to play my media through my Xbox when my computer sleeps so it saves power. In streaming options in Media Player 12 however it gives me that message. Is there anyway to change this?

I believe you are talking about the wake on lan feature. Your network driver needs to support this feature for it to work correctly. So you may need to update your network driver for it to work. The first link shows you how to enable this feature. The other two talk about WOL in more detail.

Like I mentioned before, this feature isn't available with all network drivers. You would need a Windows 7 specific driver in order to have this feature. You can't access the machine while it's sleeping, it needs to be awake "wake on LAN" first.
