    Browser exits beta status


    Google has issued the first official non-beta release of the Chrome web browser.
    The news officially takes Chrome out of its beta period, signifying that Google believes the browser is good enough to be issued as a final release.

    wow i cant believe a google product has been promoted to gold status....
    this is the shortest dev time (or i think the only time) that a project has gone from idea to gold (that users can use)...lol

    i believe that it has to do with being google trying to put it in OEM machines and has been forced as most OEM wouldnt even think of putting Beta software on there machines....

    There is no way that browser is ready for full-time idiot mass usage. It is not even close to perfect.

    The browsers cool, way better in terms of interface than IE or even Opera for that matter. But what it lacks is not simplicity, but a certain complexity that make most things easy take for instance Opera's preferences and how you can mold it into whatever you want damn near! I only use chrome for BS websurfing, but Operas my meat and potatoes.
