To create a new homegroup go to your control panel > network and internet > Homegroup.

pick the folder you want to share, and right-click it. Click Sharing, it will walk you through sharing that folder out. (you must do this for each folder you want to share.)

is your network connected this way?

    Internet > Wifi router > PC A & PC B

Both PC A and PC B connected to the router?

it wasn't clear from your original description.

If they are, and you have successfully joined a homegroup on both PCs, on PC A, you should see PC B on the "homegroup" node in Windows Explorer, and vice versa. This allows you to copy stuff to/fro each PC.

    jkkw mate :)

the network is like this :

DSL --->Wifi Router----> PC A And PC B (connected to router via wifi)

On PC B i can use internet via wifi (from DSL)

Now the problem is... if i can use internet from wifi in PC B that means its successfully connected!!!! BUT i cannot see PC B on the "homegroup" node in Windows Explorer, and vice versa.

i tried sharing folders, drives etc... in both PC's still no sucess

    pls help thanks

gulshan: did they successfully join the homegroup (ie. enter homegroup password on one PC, UI says successful join), but you cannot see the other PC in the homegroup node? did you run the troubleshooter? if you are in a homegroup, also check if the PC is actually sharing anything to the homegroup by looking at the homegroup control panel, and seeing if pictures/music/videos/documents/printers are checked.

What make/model router do you have, do you know if both Wifi and Wired are on the same IP range (subnet?)
