    I click "Remote Desktop Connection" and nothing happens

    All-

    My problem is just as it says i the title. I can't seem to get my remote desktop on my Lenovo WD510 laptop to work AT ALL. By that I mean, it won't even give me a prompt to connect to another computer. Even if i go to search, type in mstsc.exe i can click, the loading icon appears, then seconds later it disappears. My even viewer log says:

    Faulting application name: mstsc.exe, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bce80
    Faulting module name: mstsc.exe, version: 6.1.7600.16385, time stamp: 0x4a5bce80
    Exception code: 0xc0000005
    Fault offset: 0x00000000000515d0
    Faulting process id: 0x1a60
    Faulting application start time: 0x01cb276defd0c0cb
    Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\mstsc.exe
    Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\mstsc.exe

    The first exception code is a memory exception usually the app tries to use protected memory and double faults. Are you also having BSOD's? DO other apps hang or fail to launch?

    To test the memory;

    Download a copy of Memtest86 and burn the ISO to a CD using Iso Recorder or another ISO burning program. Boot from the CD, and leave it running for at least 5 or 6 passes.

    Yes, I have in fact have been having issues with BSOD. Usually only when my laptop has been idle for a while. I will try a memtest.

    So I ran memtest and all 8gb's of my memory is fine. I'm not really sure what else to do at this point. I was just using it a few days ago....
