    Remote Desktop Issue

How do you initiate a Remote Desktop session from an outside place. I want to connect from my work place to my home. Assume that there is no domain or firewall set up at the office. I port forwarded port 3389. I still can't connect. I have already enabled RDC on system properties on both computers and enabled it in services. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks,

    Eric

Sorry, if there is already a thread on this issue.

Read that, did everything to no avail.

I went to whatsmyip.com to get my external ip and when I go to my remote computer. I typed xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and nothing. Do I need to put xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xx?

Which version of Windows is your Home computer running? Also, your work computer?

You might go to Open Port Check Tool and type in your port number (3389 standard) and see what it tells you, also.

Both of those have not just RDP client capability but the RDP service available, standard limits apply :)

What did the link I listed show for your home computer please ?
