In OS X, it's very easy to turn on/off the wifi. You just click on the signal icon.

In Windows 7, I have to go to the tray, right click on the network icon, enable and disable adapter and also go through the annoying UAC popup. It's like 12 steps. Is there any shortcut or method to get it down to a couple of steps?

Dont you have a hardware wifi switch on your computer? Just flip it back and forth.

That's how I do it on my Toshiba and other Windows notebooks, but this is a MacBook, so no hardware switch for wifi.

Maybe I'll just shoot off an e-mail to SJ, ha ha.

Thanks, but I like to be able to switch off the wifi not from standby but manually.
